MYT is proud to launch its first full-scale teen production with Kim Epifano’s critically acclaimed, Fears of Your Life
MYT Teen Troupe is an intimate performing ensemble that gives form to the special talents of high school students. Teen Troupe encourages collaboration between teen actors, dancers, writers, musicians, visual artists and theater technicians. Fears of Your Life will culminate in two weekends of public performances at The Marsh.
What is fear? How do we cope with it? How can we express it? The theatrical presentation, Fears of Your
Life, uses dance, music, spoken word, video, sculpture and painting in a celebration of this universal, yet little-discussed emotion. Inspired by the book by Michael Bernard Loggins, an artist from San Francisco’s Creativity Explored, Epifano’s multi-media work explores our relationship with the sometimes serious and often humorous things that scare each one of us.
Kim Epifano, Artistic Director of Epifany Productions, has a 25-year history in the Bay Area as a pioneer of sonic dance theater, a high-energy, genre-blending integration of dance, theatre, music and vocalization. Fears of Your Life is a co-production of Marsh Youth Theater and Epifany Productions.
